Mullock Heap

A pile or hill formed of untreated mining waste.

This page is a result of a web phenomenon known as link-rot. The text "mullock heap" on the Essay intro page used to link to a lovely page with a description and picture of a mullock heap. Unfortunately that page has been taken down, and for a while this site contained a broken link! Unwilling to allow a recurrence of this problem (and unable to find another page with both a definition and picture of a mullock heap), I have made my own mullock heap page.
